10 Tips for Hosting a Superb Wedding

  1. Keep in mind that your guests will be where the couple is during a wedding. The visitors will join you on the dance floor if you are!

  2. Don't try to control the timeline. (It'll just make you feel worse.) We require the sequence of events, but not necessarily the precise times. We'll contact your coordinator to ensure that everything runs well.

  3. If you have senior guests, avoid seating them too near to or directly in front of the speaker(s).

  4. Don't position the DJ in a dark corner or out of sight; they need to be visible and close to the dance floor so they can get a vibe of the audience.

  5. If you're using dance floor lights, remember that the darker the better. Dimmers can be used for chandeliers, café lighting, and other types of illumination.

  6. If you're having a bar or a photo booth, please keep it in the main area where the DJ will be. At all times, you want people to be near the dance floor.

  7. Consider not just your own tastes, but also the tastes of your attendees while selecting songs for your event.

  8. You should always leave your guests wanting more. It is not your obligation to keep guests entertained till 2 a.m.

  9. You don't have to go overboard when it comes to music selection. Choose about 20 songs you like and a handful you don't, and we'll fill in the rest.

  10. If you need to save money, don't scrimp on the entertainment—it may make or break your event!
